Cindy Hobbs Janecka
Christian author & inspirational speaker
In a world filled with trials and suffering, there are times that we are unable to see through the darkness of our own circumstances and pain. As an author and inspirational speaker, Cindy casts a vision of hope by sharing the heartaches and trials she faces in her own life. She has served as a marriage and family counselor for more than 24 years, pursuing her passion for encouraging youth and adults with the hope she has found in God’s promises and in her faith in Jesus Christ. With her conversational and relatable style of speaking and writing, Cindy uses God's word, her own life experiences, and a sense of humor to engage and inspire audiences of all ages.

The physical condition of heartache is real and can be agonizing. It is a deep, aching pain that cannot always be alleviated by friends, music, laughter, distraction, or even prayer. The pain of heartache can occur when we experience the loss of a relationship or a loved one, when we feel betrayed, rejected or abandoned, or when devastation or disappointment descend upon our lives. When we experience such intense pain and sorrow, we often wonder if we will ever find our way out of the darkness that has overcome us. In her book My Heart Hurts, Cindy shares how she found comfort and hope in God’s faithfulness, promises and unending grace.

About Cindy

Cindy grew up in Waco, Texas, before heading to San Antonio where she earned a bachelor’s degree in communication from Trinity University and a master’s degree in social work from Our Lady of the Lake University. After graduate school, she returned to Waco with her husband, Darrell, and they are blessed with three children. Cindy and her husband have worked with the youth at their church and taught engaged couple classes for more than twenty years. She has also worked as a counselor at Baylor University where she has been able to pursue her passion of sharing the hope and encouragement of God with others.
